Hey guys,

Interesting topic i'd like to bring up, i dont want anyone offended, i dont mean to take shots at anyone but if you do get offended i'd like to apologize now.

So down to the shizz, as we know squall has stepped down, and already have i felt a lack of the bic [C] authority, squall was on almost 24/7 and you knew that a council member was on... with the departure of inactivity/break from tira and kreuger DtK was left to stiggy and squall.. i dont know alot about the behind the scenes council work but i know stig was involved immensely, but alot of server setting, updates etc were done by squall...

Now my question is, Council is left to stiggy, and stig cannot run this community himself.. so who fills in squalls gap, i dont know who knows enough technical knowledge/css to fill in his position... Unless we saw a return from tira i dont know who can fill in the council gap.

this is open to discuss, lets not let this get off-topic and start a shitfest (krez)...

I would of just gave up, it's just became a huge rage thread and needs to be closed. But thanks elite for trying to make the community a better place, but some people are just making it all worse bringing up topics like premotions and other things like that.

No thread needs to be closed by staff, people should be able to close it them selves by recognising the need to not post.

However Elite's intentions were to bring about a discussion of the current situation, only his wording, whether intentional or not, has failed him. The intended topic behind the wording has a lot of people talking. Will there be more C? If so who? When? What will happen to DtK? I have every faith in stig to make the best decisions, I do think he may have some complications with some of the coding squall and krueger did, as in finding where they begin and end whether they are hidden in other addons or not.
In the mean time I will continue doing my part here the best i can in an effort to support him, and I hope you all play your parts too...

Sorry for bumping this,Stig had mentioned this thread to me when I was "gone" and I had intended to mention a few things on my return.

It's always good to see members being concerned and offering support in situations like this. It's quite evident from this thread that the community spirit is alive and strong.

However I also feel that a fair bit of assumptions were being made and a glimpse into Council's background should clear up a few things.

One must realize that Stig and I are very different individuals with very different backgrounds. What I am able to do as a Council Member and what Stig can do depends primarily on that factor.


Stig has a family - wife and kids. I on the other hand don't and from the looks of it , never will.

Stig is in a senior position with his current job and is often on-call while I am on a fixed 5am-7pm job with access to a computer 24/7.


I started as a Council member when I was in Uni and have since been in positions where taking risks i.e putting DtK first hasn't had or will not have much repercussions on me ( failed units at uni, possibly losing my job currently) which is why you could say I am more 'visible' on the forums and servers.

That being said , with regards to what happens in the background, it is only Stig and I who are aware of what actually goes on. We both have a few common and different strengths and as someone said complement each other. Stig is as technically minded as me. But with people skill's ,Stig is just on another level (He could probably sell your own house to you) while I am quite possibly the most socially inept person in DtK.

tl;dr : What I am trying to say is that 10 Squall's may come and go and it won't make a difference to DtK, it will keep running. However if Stig ever leaves, that would be the time to panic. At the end
of the day, it is only Stig who is the true Council member. As long as Stig is here, DtK doesn't have to worry about anything.




p.s I know a few of you are disappointed with my return, my apologies. However do not worry, i reckon I have an year or two left in me (not talking about my time with DtK). Not very long to go, relief for both you and me at the end of this.

I fail to see any reason or any thing against Squall... All he has ever done is give his time and devoted every spare minute to dtk and to keep the servers we got running. Although stig is the big man behind the computer, squall you still are not the boy in the corner. You may not be the most social person, not everyone is but we still help each other out, Isnt that what dtk is built upon? Comradery and Friendship :O
Look at the end of the day stig and squall have done so much and the least we can do is appreciate, if people cannot even give a small thanks for the servers they play one then they are fools and idiots who do not know the meaning of respect and gratitude even if you dislike someone. Squall, we are here for you and stig and everyone in the community, if you need help there is always someone willing to listen <3

Yea I met up with Squall and Rowdy recently and you should have seen them whip themselves into a lesbian frenzy...it was awkward to say the least, make $500 from filming it though so thats kinda cool.
