Ideas for a possible organised event on the server?

Hey all

The server is slowly climbing back with numbers per pic below. I was thinking if enough people were interested we could perhaps run an event? This may also help to draw people on. If so does anyone have any suggestions?

That was really bad.
What about faster movement.. on the small maps i have wondered about the run speed 2x just to make it quicker and more violent.

Like the faster movement idea, we could also introduce throwing knives or increase nade damage, on those small maps you could get some good multiple kills with the stickys

Throwing knives are a great idea they're a big hit on office people love using them. Just don't like getting killed by the pro knifers ;p

Not sure if we have acted on the faster walking idea..but there is a server command for it i believe.
:
Open a console and type "sv_maxspeed"
The default value is 320 , you can change it to 500.
Not sure if it would break any DTK server plugins.
Anyway for a temp event it might be ok.
What do you think?..

G'day dudes and dudettes,

We are looking for input regarding future events, any ideas are welcome
We are looking at updating maps as well so any suggestions there are welcome to
We have been talking about weapon specific events, for example nades and knives or a scoped weapons event "awp, scout, dak daks"
If we get enough input on one particular type of event it could be the first one we hold

So put your thinking caps on, SMDM is back, again!

What about shotty's and nades? some of the maps would be awesome to run this kind of event

Hows about Player A (or 1 however you want to think of it), has 1,200 health BUT can only use knife and 25% slower (just to balance things out). Other players must kill this player however means necessary, player A is randomly selected from other players in the server. Pretty much a Juggernaut mode if that is possible, there's my suggestion.

Oh and Qi_Bishop gets 1 trillion points, invincible and gets a pretty trail following him forever.

I like the sound of Bish's idea. However if going to be speed limited, i think throwing knives should be added for that player. Not an infinite amount but maybe like 10ish.
Also i think (don't know if its possible) a random type of weapon per round could be fun. Every player gets a scout or awp or famas etc. Shorten the rounds to say 90 seconds or whatever any1 else thinks and chuck in totally random spawning as well.
I think i have suggested this for office in the past (or maybe its just an idea i thought was safer to keep to myself)But i think it would be a lot of fun.

An idea put to me from a regular player,
One invisible player on each team with only a knife and low HP, switching to different players each round,
Sounds good to me
