What's the go with the code on canyondam?

I've heard varying things of different people, some admins, some not.
One person said that you shouldn't do it when innocent because all the people that it kills is on you, but it isn't really T baiting or KOSable.
So yeah, is it allowed as inno or only as T or what?

Personally I think that only traitors should be allowed to because your actions cause them to die, or just remove the map and get one that isnt jusgt played for the flooding.

imo it should be removed until fixed, i mean a KOS can be called on whoever does it, but half the time nobody knows who did it, resulting in all the gameplay at the top layer of the roof thingo

In my opinion, i would just leave it on as people still enjoy playing the map, and the water stops the hiding element of the game causing round to go faster.

Activating the code is traitor baiting and is kosable. But I personally think it should activate its self around a certain time. Like Shadow said it stops the hiding element and causes the game to go faster.

In my opinion, it should only be used by Traitors.
Using it can be a KOSable offence.

I have no problems with people using it whatsoever, but if you do it and are seen activating the code then you could be called KOS on.

I don't think it should be automatically activated after a period of time, while I do understand the argument for it. In the end of the day, the innocents job is to survive and hiding can be a part of that.

In line with what britty just said:

• If an innocent enters the code and it kills people, this is rdm and you get a warning (yay).
• If you enter it before round you'll get a slay and sit that round out.
• If you're T, flood the map!
• If you see someone activate it (not just looking at the keypad, but actually entering the full code and initiating the water rise) then KOS them.

Perhaps the buttons should move in when pressed, and/or a confirmation of some sort appear nearby (like a "correct" display on the keypad), so that people watching the person input it will know, but not if they didn't see.

I think this thread has 2 major outlaying points at play

- Who can use it

- How to isolate who actually used it

Simple answer for the first - Only traitors

- Secondly, and this is where the player base needs to be careful not to KOS the wrong person, which I quite like Cakes idea about the button being indented
Perhaps a message popping up in chat to say 'water rising' (although it might do that already? My mind can't exactly remember)

Britty, the only signal (apart from looking) that the water is rising is if you're anywhere near the keypad you can hear a very loud obvious clunk sound when the code has been entered correctly.
