Hi all,
Thought I would create a proggy thread for ba_mario_party's port into CS:GO.
I am giving the map a bit of an overhaul to make it suitable in CS:GO so any ideas on changes you have wanted since Source, feel free to post em!
To do:
[Complete] Fix map crashing bug.
[Complete] Fix static prop lighting issue.
[Pending] Replace Shock drop and roll mini game with another game as it is no longer working.
[Pending] Replace hexagon heat with updated version from mg_mario_party.
[Pending] Create a bhop course [Jetpackin]
[Complete] Replace pirate climb with working version from mg_mario_party
[Complete] Add a better winner/loser tele destination for Bomb-om counting
[Pending] Fix or replace firing range (idea: create a mushroom on a track train that moves randomly and increases speed with each successful shot on it).
[Pending] Find a use for cake room.
[Pending] Add a hunger games style game to the map (maybe?).
[Pending] Redesign the obstacle entrance area to make it prettier.
[Complete] Fix lighting problems with env_fire entity present (try rendering map while env_fire entity is removed).
[Pending] Extend the outside area so it has mini games above surface.
[Pending] Add some boxes in the main area to block line of sight a little.
[Pending] Make admin controllable warden difficulties (varies on the ease that T's can rebel - more or less guns, unlock certain secrets etc).
[Pending] Create an invisible block that gives a prize (T activate able only)
[Pending] Create a coinblock game that requires Ts to hit boxes until a mushroom appears. Catcher of the mushroom is teleported to winner box (same as mg_mario_party entrance).
[Pending] Look at creating a difficulty system to adjust the rebelling options for Ts round to round.
[Pending] Add an Easter egg vent that the player can walk through and is teleported into someones loungeroom with a picture of the jailbreak map on the screen (as though the map is being played on nintendo).
Game idea:
Create a hunger game style area where the Ts enter through a random pipe (3 or 4 pipes across the map, all leave from same pipe). Have weapons hidden around the map and have Ts start with knives. See if there is a way to make it so all teams are enemies, but CTs cant harm each other.
[Complete] - Create 5 coin blocks lined up side by side. Ts hit the block and 1 will randomly pop up with a mushroom (winner). -
