What is Trouble in Terrorist Town?

Trouble in Terrorist Town is a gamemode where players are assigned a role which requires them to perform specific tasks to that role. The possible roles are: Innocent, Detective and Traitor.

    Role Objectives:

    Innocents:

Your main objective is to survive the round while helping to identify Traitors and eliminating them. You win the round if all Traitors are eliminated or if the round ends.

    Detectives:

Detectives are specialists in identifying Traitors and have a special tool kit which assists them in identifying Traitors. Your objective is to identify and eliminate all Traitors. Detectives should always be actively identifying bodies and hunting for Traitors.

    Traitors:

You are shown as an Innocent to other players expect for other Traitors. Your objective is to eliminate all Innocents and Detectives whilst keeping your Role a secret. You win the round when all Innocents and Detectives are dead.

    RULES

    Important Rules:

RDM: DO NOT kill or damage players without a valid reason (Prop killing included). Valid reasons are you are a Traitor, a KOS has been called on that player or you have seen them commit a Traitorous act. You must have sufficient reason before killing any player you think is a Traitor.

False KOS: When placing a KOS you must be certain that the player has committed a Traitorous act (see below for list) or been identified as a Traitor through the use of a DNA scanner or taser. When KOSing for Traitorous acts you cannot call them based off a players location, sound or guns. You must see all parties involved as the event happens in order to call a legitimate KOS.

Delaying: Every role has a specificate objective the player must carry out, not working towards that objective is seen as delaying. Whether this be Traitors not hunting and eliminating players or Detectives not searching the map for bodies and Traitors to identify. Anyone actively delaying their roles objective will be punished.

Abuse: No forms of abuse will ever be tolerated towards any players regardless of the situation. Forms of abuse include but are not limited to bullying, racism, sexism, harassment, homophobia or any other actions that intend to demean or abuse any players whether they are on the server or not.

    TTT Gamemode Rules:

    1. RDM: DO NOT kill or damage players without a valid reason (Prop killing included). Valid reasons are you are a Traitor, a KOS has been called on that player, you have proven them a Traitor or have seen them commit a Traitorous act. You must have sufficient reason before killing any player.

Note: You are not allowed to kill people that have been called a Traitor, the only reason you can kill players are stated above. If you are killing players because they were called a Traitor it is RDM. You are also allowed to defend yourself if someone is shooting you without a good reason, this includes returning fire through smoke or objects if you are actively being shot.

Note: Please do not directly ask if a player is KOSed as this leads to false KOS’s being called. If a player is found to be actively doing this to generate false KOS’s on players that player will be punished. Players are also not allowed to use KOS to bait players out. You should only start calling a KOS if you are able to at the time, Players found to be doing so may be punished.

    3. Traitor Baiting: Acting like a Traitor by committing traitorous acts or calling yourself a traitor as an innocent or detective is not allowed and is punishable. Shooting at or near other players is also not allowed and is regarded as traitor baiting. This includes innocents and detectives shooting near other players to provoke a reaction.

    4. Spamming: Continuously spamming or blocking a door with the point of stopping other players from entering or leaving a room is against server rules. Spamming buttons, flashlights or clan tags is also not allowed.

    5. Delaying: Every role has a specific objective the player must carry out, not working towards that objective is seen as delaying. Anyone delaying their roles objective will be punished.

    6. Prop Killing: Killing or damaging players with props by either swinging moveable props into them or breaking props under someone so they die or take damage is a Traitorous act, any innocents or detectives seen doing this will be punished.

Note: Moving props as an innocent or detective is allowed but you are responsible for any prop damaging you cause to players while you are holding it whether it be intentional or unintentional.

    7. Obscure Names: Players are not allowed to use names that can potentially mislead players. You cannot use the same or similar name to someone already on the server if you do have the same name, the last person to join must change or work it out between yourselves (Admins are exempt to this rule). You also cannot have names that use ttt phrases such as KOS, Traitor, ___ is T, or any other phrase that may mislead if read by a player.

    8. Claiming Areas: Claiming areas is not allowed on this server regardless of other servers rules. Players that kill based off a claimed area are RDMing and will be punished as such.

    9. Ghosting/ Meta Gaming: Using Information not gathered from in game to help you complete your objective is not allowed. Players that are dead or in spectate can never give any sort of game related information to players that are alive. This information includes but is not limited to players roles and locations. This information gives an unfair advantage and is seen as cheating. Ghosting does also include players purposely changing teams or leaving the server to indicate to alive players that they are dead.

Note: Players maybe be suspected of ghosting if they are seen killing players off no information or seen moving around the map not checking places or going straight to a players location. AFK or delaying players are also not to be ghosted for any reason unless an admin deems it necessary i which case only admins can action on.

    10. Prop Surfing: Prop surfing is using a movable prop to stand on and actively move yourself around the map while holding it, this is strictly forbidden under any circumstances. The use of prop stacking IS allowed unless it is used in a way to exploit a map.

    11. Prop Blocking: Use of props to block doorways or areas is allowed as long as you are not actively holding a prop up to block someone from entering a location or moving past you. This includes using a prop in the open to block someone moving past you for whatever reason. If a player is trying to move props out of the way of an area you are also not allowed to try and grab them back and replace them to where they were.

    12. Name colours: Having text inside your name that changes the colour when identified etc is forbidden.

    Traitor Rules:

    1. Injuring Traitors: Do not damage or kill other Traitors. If this happens due to cross fire and it was a legitimate accident it is ok but always be mindful of where your T buddy's are when shooting. T equipment is included in this, you should give warning to your T buddy’s if you are ever using Traitor equipment that could damage them.

    2. No False KOS: Traitors ARE NOT allowed to ever issue any KOS’s unless it is on themselves. Even if you are RDMed you cannot call KOS, if you are rdmed report it to an admin. Traitors ARE allowed to repeat a KOS that has already been called but if you bait your T buddy's by doing so you will be punished for breaking the rule.

    3. Baiting T Buddies: When you are a Traitor you are working as a team with your fellow T buddies, to that end you should always be working with them and not baiting or ratting them out to other players. This can be done in a number of different ways but if your actions are seen to be informing other players of Traitors identities you will be punished.

    4. Delaying: Traitors are not allowed to delay the game you must always be actively fulfilling your objective. Delaying can be done by Traitors not taking easy kills offered to them or going a long time without trying to kill players. Traitors are allowed to camp but as long as they are doing their objective and killing Innocents and Detectives while doing so.

    4. Visibility: Traitors must be visible to atleast 75% of the map when using Traitor items that allow you to get out of the map.(Excluding built-in map teleporters)

    General Server Rules:

    1. Mic Spam: Excessive use of the mic is not permitted. Voice chat should always be at a low enough level for KOS or other game related calls to be heard by all players. Forms of abuse include but are not limited to bullying, racism, sexism, harassment, homophobia or any other actions that intend to demean or abuse any players whether they are on the server or not.

Note: Swearing is allowed as long as it isn't abusive, or directed at anybody but please be mindful that not everyone will appreciate excessive swearing if you are asked to tone it down please do so.

    4. Hacking/Cheating: Using scripts and or hacks to give you unfair advantages in game will result in a Permanent Ban from all DtK servers, with little to no chance of appeal.

    5. Advertising: Advertising of links in chat that are not DTK is not allowed, although links in players names is allowed as long as you are not actively advertising them to other players. Advertising of other servers or groups is also not allowed under any circumstance.

    6. Impersonating Admins: It is against server rules to pretend to be a server admin whether that is by having DtK admin tags in your name, Impersonating current admins by copying their names or telling players you are an admin through text or voice chat.

    Traitor and Detective Room Rules:

Traitor rooms are only able to be opened by Traitors.

    1. Entering a Traitor room is a Traitorous act. If you see anyone enter a T room you can KOS them. You must actively see them enter the room to place a KOS, you cannot base KOS’s off location.

    2. Innocents and Detectives are not to enter Traitor rooms for any reason. If you are found to be entering a Traitor room as an Innocent or Detective you will be punished for T-bating.

    3. Do not enter Detective rooms unless you are a Detective. Anyone found to be entering a Detective room that is not a Detective will be considered to be exploiting the map and punished as so.

Note: Detectives found to be purposely letting other players into the Detective room will also be punished.

    4. Do not camp Traitor rooms as an Innocent or Detective. Camping outside any Traitor room doors or exits is a punishable offence.

    5. You are NOT allowed to shoot into a Traitor room unless you are actively being shot at from inside.

    PUNISHMENTS:

The punishments given to players depends on what rule that player broke and the actions of the player before and after. The most common punishment used for most situations is slaying.

    1. Slaying: When asked to slay this means you need to type “kill” in your csgo console to kill yourself in game after the round you broke the rules (this does not mean let someone kill you or KOS yourself you must use “kill” in console). If players fail to slay when prompted by an admin for whatever reason you will be issued with a warning. (Slays do not count if the round becomes glitched or ends for no reason).

    2. Warning: TTT currently uses the 3 strike/warning system, if you receive 2 warnings on the server your 3rd warning will result in an automatic ban. Player warnings do expire after 3 months upon good behaviour and will be done so by an admin.

    3. Ban: A ban is the most severe punishment you can receive when you are banned you are blocked from using all DTK servers for the duration of your ban. The ban length depends on the severity of the players offense and also previous bans given to that player in the past. Information on bans and how to appeal or request a ban can be found >>>HERE<<<.

    4. Mute/Gag: Mutes and Gags are issued to players that are breaking rules using their in game comms on the server. A mute is given when a player is incorrectly using their mic and a gag is used when a player incorrectly uses their chat. Mute and gag punishment lengths depend on the severity of the players offense.

Note: The use of soundboards and/or software's that changes your voice to be not understandable or such are not allowed on the server. Mutes will be issued out to those who break this rule.

Important Note: Players should also always be respectful to the admins of the server, any abuse, trolling or any other inappropriate behaviour towards them can and will be punished. Please always listen to admins and obey any instructions they may give you or to the server, failing to listen and follow instructions may lead to consequences.

Admins will always have the final say on any punishment or decision regarding the servers rules. If you believe that an admin has mishandled a situation or was too strict towards you or another player you can contact the TTT SA to discuss what happened. If you were banned on the server you can appeal the ban >>>HERE<<<

    Reporting Rulebreakers:

If a player is breaking rules and you wish to report it to the admins you can send a message to the admins by putting an @ before your message in TEAM CHAT and sending it (e.g TEAM CHAT: @ Matt RDMed me). Your message will only be seen by the admins on the server and they will handle the situation and deal with the rule breakers when appropriate.

If no admin is present on the server at the time you can use this guide to submit a ban on a player >>>HERE<<< If you follow that guide and submit a ban an admin will review your report ASAP and make appropriate actions against the player.

    Important Info:

The use of grenades (HE grenades and incendiary grenades/molotovs) are NOT prohibited as long as you are not directing them towards and/ or damaging players that would break the server rules (this does not count if players walk into the path of a grenade or into a molly). This also applies for grenade damage inflicted after you are killed.

Live checks are NOT compulsory, therefore you cannot kill a player because they choose not to respond.
