Section 1: An introduction to Minas Tirith

Minas Tirith is a Lord of the Rings based map, created by Hannibal [SPA]. By many, it is seen as one of the hardest Zombie Escape maps due to the extreme difficulty to complete it, the amount of teamwork required, and the total level amount. Each level follows on from the previous, to essentially make it one large level split into four.

Another rather original trait of the map, is that it incorporates a level up system, allowing those who complete a greater number of levels to gain access to higher levelled items, to give the team an edge over the zombies. However with this, the zombies also have a store where winners also gain access to stronger zombie enemies.

The map also contains barricades in the form of weapons. You must drop your pistol to pickup the object, which can then be placed using the USE key.

This guide will attempt to assist your understanding of the map, such as common hold points, as well as answer some questions you may have in the FAQ near the bottom.

Without further ado, onto the Ultimate guide to Minas Tirith.


Section 2: Items

Each team will have access to items from the item store built in to the map. The levels to access these can range from level 1 to leve 5, and each level is gained by completing a mission. This means it is impossible to have an item on the first mission, you will only have access to level 1 items on the second mission, and the level 5 items can't be accessed until at least the second part of extreme mode.

The Human Shop

The Flag
SHOP IMAGE
The flag is a Level 1 Item. There are four of them stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

200 Health
Slightly Increased Running Speed

Amour
SHOP IMAGE
The armour is a Level 2 Item. There are two of them stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

275 Health
Decreased Running Speed
Pushback on zombies
Ability to take many hits from a zombie

Ammo Barrel
SHOP IMAGE
The ammo barrel is a Level 2 Item. There is one of it stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

125 Health
Ability to Right Click with your knife to place down an ammo barrel: Temporary unlimited ammo and grenades
Cooldown of 35 seconds (after the barrel disappears)

Oil
SHOP IMAGE
The oil is a Level 2 Item. There is one of it stored in the shop, and it will give the following ability:

Ability to Right Click with your knife to drop oil on the ground. A grenade ignites it, and any zombie that walks through it burns.
Only had two uses

Horse
SHOP IMAGE
The horse is a Level 3 Item. There are two of them stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

Faster movement speed
Greatly increased health (unknown, but allows it to take any fall damage)
Pushback on zombies
Ability to take multiple hits from zombies

Gandalf
SHOP IMAGE
Gandalf is a Level 3 Item. There is one of it in stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

Ability to Right Click with your knife to hold up his staff. Has high pushback on zombies, acting as a shield to any humans near him
Ability to take multiple hits from zombies
You Shall Not Pass: A special attack that causes an explosion that knocks back all zombies, done using the following button combination:

The White Knight
SHOP IMAGE
The White Knight is a Level 5 Item. There is one of it stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

Left click to do a high damage attack with the sword. Press E to switch between a weaker (faster) and stronger (slower) attack. High knockback
Right click to use a block. Holds back the zombies while taking no damage
Ability to take an EXTREME amount of hits from zombies
White Knight Nuke: A special attack that will KILL all zombies nearby. Even kills trolls. The exception is Balrog, however it deals a LARGE amount of damage, done using the following button combination:

The Zombie Shop

The Totem
SHOP IMAGE
The Totem is a Level 1 Item. There are four of them stored in the shop, and it will give the following abilities:

Slightly increased movement speed
It will set your health at 9000

Explosive Barrel
SHOP IMAGE
The Explosive Barrel is a Level 2 Item. There is one of it stored in the shop, and it will give the following ability:

You will be able to either throw or drop a barrel that explodes after a set period of time
Left Click switches between drop and throw mode, while Right Click throws the barrel

Ladder
SHOP IMAGE
The Ladder is a Level 2 Item. There are two of them stored in the shop, and it will give the following ability:

You will be able to [i]Right Click[i] to place a destroyable ladder. 30 second cooldown

Troll
SHOP IMAGE
The Troll is a Level 3 Item. There are three of them stored in the shop, and they will give the following abilities:

Extreme amount of health
Ability to Right Click to hit with your club, dealing a considerable amount of damage (useful on those using armour/gandalf/horse/white knight)

Balrog
SHOP IMAGE
Balrog is a Level 5 Item. There is one of it stored in the shop, and it gives the following abilities:

Left Click to use your sword. Will instantly kill anything (with an exception to the white knight and zombies)
Humans will be damaged if they touch you

Yeah level 3 is usually the most troublesome. No real good items, and extremely hard hold points. :P

After a nice game of Minas, Lemon and myself won extreme mode. Unlucky everyone else, we had around 8 people at the final hold. :c
